Brown ninth in WoO Knoxville doubleheader finale; Set to return May 2

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (April 27, 2026) - “Blackjack” Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing put up big numbers in their weekend tussle with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, joining the Greatest Show On Dirt in a two-day invasion of Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Friday and Saturday, April 24-25.
Two nights resulted in back-to-back A-Main starts for the multi-time Knoxville Raceway track champion and former 360 Knoxville Nationals champion, highlighting the weekend with a ninth-place outcome on Saturday, April 25. In fact, the whole of Saturday’s program was a success story for Brown, launching the event with the fastest qualifying lap, all before winning his respective heat race and finishing third in the evening’s dash.
A case of redemption, as well, Brown opened the two-day slate with a 21st-place score on Friday; he started 20th.
“Overall, a decent weekend at Knoxville Raceway, especially in our performance on Saturday,” Brown, ace of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Wilkerson Crane Rental, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mountain Dew, Ditzfeld Transfer, Ditzfeld Container Service, No. 21 sprint car, said. “We took off in the A, but still a little more out of balance than I would like. Things were in line there for a while, then all heck kinda broke loose with sliders and such. It really took away from our momentum, and at the wrong time. There were a lot of sharks in the water, and when they saw blood, they were able to capitalize.
“Overall, I’m pretty confident that we had a top-five car all day long, but it just didn't work out for us in the end,” Brown added. “Sometimes it’s like that. Proud of everyone on this Casey’s | FVP team. They worked hard all weekend long, even after having a tough go of things on Friday. The plan is to keep an eye on the weather and potentially head back there this Saturday to keep working on things…all eyes on the bigger prize.”
