Brown solid in two-day I-55 appearance; Lakeside and Knoxville to highlight coming weekend

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (April 13, 2026) - In all, it was a sound weekend south of St. Louis for Grain Valley, Missouri’s Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing, taking their efforts to the highbanks of I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park in Pevely, Missouri, on Friday and Saturday, April 10-11. Although missing the top-ten in each of his World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series appearances, concluding action with 14th and 12th-place performances, respectively, obvious gains were met, slowly building momentum while regaining confidence in his wrist.

“Overall, a decent weekend at I-55. We’ve been good there in the past, and we’ve been bad there in the past. Our goal was to go in there and have a few solid nights and I think we did that,” Brian Brown, ace of his own Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Wilkerson Crane Rental, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mountain Dew, Ditzfeld Transfer, Ditzfeld Container Service, No. 21 sprint car, said. “Things fired off pretty decently on Friday. We tried to work on our car to make things a little bit better than we were in the heat race, but I think we may have made things a little worse. On Saturday, we unloaded a little bit slower than we were on Friday, but driving from sixth to fourth in the heat was big for us. In the ‘A’ we were battling all over the running order, fading as far back as 20th and driving ahead as far forward as tenth. Ended up 12th, but we were able to assemble some great notes for when we go back to Pevely, or even to a track similar like Huset’s.”

From one national touring series to another, Brown, a multi-time Knoxville Raceway Track Champion, will now turn his attention toward Kansas City, set to rejoin High Limit Racing in a Friday night stop at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday, April 17. Adding to the weekend’s excitement, Brown will visit Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, April 18, helping the facility open its gates for the first time in 2026.

“Looking forward to hitting the reset button a little bit,” Brown added. “Ready to get back to some tracks we are more familiar with and comfortable with. The plan is to visit Lakeside with High Limit on Friday before making our return to Knoxville on Saturday. Anytime you can get back ‘home’ and race in front of your friends, family and partners is special. Really proud of this entire team right now…Chad, JB, Devin…they’e working their butts off while maintaining a great attitude. Our results may not show it, but I feel like we’re getting much closer to where we need to be. Me being off for six months due to my hand doesn’t help. Tires change, tracks change…just trying to catch back up to these guys. My hand is getting better by the day, not 100% yet but we’re getting there. A little home cooking this weekend may be just what I need.”

ON DECK:
Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2026 campaign with visits to Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, and Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Friday and Saturday, April 17-18. Friday’s appearance will feature High Limit Racing.
