Brown looks forward to two-day visit to Selinsgrove Speedway
Monday, September 19, 2022
By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (September 19, 2022) – Despite what turned out to be a frustrating two-day venture with the All Star Circuit of Champions, highlighting their Dirt Classic Qualifier and Dirt Classic IX campaign at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway with a 13th-place score on Friday night, “Blackjack” Brian Brown is already looking ahead, set to invade Selinsgrove Speedway for the two-day National Open on Friday and Saturday, September 23-24.

Officially concluding Selinsgrove Speedway’s 2022 season, the two-day National Open will open with a $6,000-to-win preliminary, followed by a $26,000-to-win finale on Saturday night. Brown is a former winner at the ultra-fast half-mile, doing so on Sunday, September 4. The $5,500 payday also secured Brown a position in the upcoming National Open.

“We’re excited to get back to Selinsgrove Speedway for the National Open. We’ve built a pretty solid notebook for that place and I know my guys will have our Casey’s/FVP car ready to compete at the highest level,” Brown stated, driver of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Rowdy Energy, Ditzfeld Transfer, Champion Brands, MC Power, Weld Wheels, Housby, Maxim Chassis, J.D. Welding & Machine, Waldinger, Smiley’s Racing Products, No. 21 sprint car. “It’s been a great trip to Pennsylvania thus far. We didn’t have the Dirt Classic weekend that we wanted, but we’ll keep after it this week and be ready to go for Friday night.”

Brown’s 13th-place finish in Williams Grove’s Dirt Classic Qualifier was the product of row five. A quick surface made passing a premium.

Although qualifying for the $20,000-to-win Dirt Classic IX main event the following evening, the Higginsville, Missouri, native did not finish.

ON DECK:
As noted, Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with Selinsgrove Speedway’s 40th Annual National Open on Friday and Saturday, September 23-24. Friday’s preliminary main event will award $6,000 with Saturday’s finale paying $26,000. The event will end Selinsgrove Speedway’s 2022 season.
